Investing into our students - our future.
On September 20, the STEMAR team led by founder Ruben Lusinyants and accompanied by Hakob Panosyan, president of ARPA Institute, visited three of the beneficiary schools of Tavush region: Ijevan Lyceum, Getahovit and Achajur secondary schools to get acquainted with the work carried out during the previous academic year and to exchange ideas. Students in all schools showed great enthusiasm and activity.
The first visit was made to the Lyceum of Ijevan, where 17 students worked on the construction of the greenhouse, electronics, settings, monitoring, researching the microclimate of plants growth.
The students mentioned that during the construction of the greenhouse, they acquired such skills as teamwork, critical thinking, patience, and the ability to solve problems. The students also mentioned that the meetings with the STEMAR team made them more excited and increased their desire to engage more deeply in the STEM subjects. The meeting was also attended by the school teachers who worked on the project together with the students, and the school director who noted that she noticed great interest among the students during the implementation of the project.
The second visit was made to the secondary school of Getahovit. About 10 students worked on the “greenhouse” project. They presented their entire work in the form of a video clip, after which they presented in detail the steps they took, interpreted their research work with the stages of the scientific method. Here again the children showed great activity and interest, promising to be even more active next year.
The last visit was made to the secondary school of Achajur, where the students implemented the project "Learn with 3D modeling". The students mentioned that the process was not easy, but they were able to overcome all challenges with love. The teachers were also involved in the process and noted that the project-based learning created great enthusiasm among the students, as a result of which they would like to continue such work.
STEMAR wants to thank all students and teachers for their participation. You are promoting the development of STEM subjects in our country. We hope your interest will grow even more in the coming years.
